Questions & answers
Questions about tax law
Do you help both businesses and individuals with tax issues?
Yes. We advise on business tax and duties as well as personal tax matters. Describe the tax years or periods involved and whether the authorities have already contacted you.
Why does it matter whether the letter is a proposal or a decision?
A proposal normally allows comments before a decision is made. A decision may carry a right of appeal with a separate deadline. The type of letter therefore determines the appropriate response and when action is needed.
What should I prepare for an initial review?
Gather correspondence from the authorities, relevant tax assessments or accounts, and records supporting the items in question. A brief overview of events, amounts and dates helps define the work needed.
These answers provide general information. Advice on your matter requires an assessment of your specific circumstances.
